A magnificent, very hardy deciduous climber. Leaves the size of dinner plates.
This ornamental vine from Japan is a climber for roomy situations where it will not need cutting back. Impressive: a mature specimen can reach 25m (82ft), although it will take a few years to achieve that.
Leaves turn a magnificent crimson in autumn, but can also have shades of orange and yellow, depending on the autumn weather.
This is a strong-growing large deciduous climber. Flowers are small and starry, to 3cm in width, reddish-pink/purple fading to white at the base and borne in panicles from mid-summer to early autumn. A beautiful and easy clematis.
One of the most strongly scented varieties. Descriptions of the scent vary through hawthorne to almond and marzipan.
